Accessibility
This site is designed for an older-adult audience, so it goes a step beyond the usual standards.
The standard we meet
The site is built to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the recognized accessibility standard — and then a step further for an older-adult audience.
What that means in practice
- Large, readable text that stays sharp when you enlarge it, set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface engineered for low vision.
- Strong contrast between text and background, measured rather than guessed.
- Big tap targets — every button and link is at least 44 pixels, easy to hit on a phone.
- Clear focus outlines, so you always know where you are when using a keyboard.
- Nothing depends on hovering, and there are no time limits on any step.
- Color is never the only signal — every label also uses words and shapes, so the site reads clearly in black and white or with color blindness.
Found a problem?
Accessibility is never "done." If any part of this site is hard to read or use, that's a bug we want to fix. (Contact details go here once the site is live.)
