What this is

This site is the living companion to the book *Not Born Yesterday: The Plain-English Guide to Online Safety for Seniors*. The book teaches ten simple laws; this site walks you through each how-to, click by click, with screenshots — and stays current as menus and scams change.

Our one promise

We earn nothing from any app, tool, or service we recommend. Not a commission, not a kickback, not a penny. When we suggest a password manager or point you to a website, it's because it's the right call for you — full stop. That independence is the whole point.

How we keep it current

Phones, apps, and scams all change. So a few times a year we re-walk each tutorial, re-verify every fact, and update the "last checked" date at the top of each page. When something material moves, we say so.

Every step assumes no prior knowledge, defines any unavoidable term in plain words, and is built to be easy to read and easy to tap — larger text, high contrast, and big buttons throughout.
